of much use. In about the same time as either of the
other Sections, this method of taking a Drawing from
Nature may be accomplished.
Thus by using a proper degree of diligence, a few
months will be found sufficient time for acquiring the
method here proposed, which, in so limited a space, is
all that can be expected; for perfection and expedition
are only to be attained by regular practice in any
science.

Sec. i. The Planes, Lines, and Point of Sight, de-
scribed in this Section, must be well remembered, and
distinguished, and their use and situation fully impressed
upon the mind ; for which purpose it should be read over
attentively several times.

sentation of the Real Perspective Plane should be given
by Lines, to make the Artificial, as by the plate, page 77,
from any place chosen in nature. Suppose the room, or
any view present be the part to be drawn, let the Planes,
