Dwunasty numer czasopisma „Sztuka Ameryki Łacińskiej” ma charakter
monograficzny i jest poświęcony sztuce ukazanej w relacjach z historią. Pre-
zentowane teksty przybliżają dzieje poszczególnych budowli, obiektów i tra-
dycji. Opowiedzenie tych historii stało się możliwe dzięki analizie poszcze-
gólnych dzieł sztuki, kontekstu ich powstania oraz towarzyszących im źródeł
pisanych.
El volumen que aquí se presenta es el duodécimo número de la revista “Arte de
América Latina”. Tiene carácter monográfico y está dedicado a mostrar el arte
en relación con la memoria. Los textos presentados profundizan en la historia
de edificios, objetos y tradiciones concretas. Contar estos relatos ha sido po-
sible gracias al análisis de obras de arte individuales, del contexto en el que
fueron creadas o de las fuentes escritas que las acompañan.
The volume is the twelfth issue of the journal “Art of Latin America”. It is
monographic and devoted to art in relation to history. The papers included
in this issue present the history of individual buildings, objects, and traditions.
It was possible due to analyzing individual works of art, the context in which
they were created, and the written sources entailed by these creations.
