Úvod / Introduction

V posledných rokoch časopis Aírt publikoval
popři tradičných kolekciách článkov, věnovaných
rozmanitým témam, aj niekol'ko tematicky zame-
raných čísel. Ako zostavovatel' tohto čísla som
hfadal články, zamerané na problémy ikonograhe
a ikonológie. Na začiatku nestála žiadna zvláštna
deňnícia pojmov, žiadna ideologická zaujatosť.
Namiesto dehnovania teoretického rámca som
požiadal známých autorov, ktorí majú svoje vlastné
explicitně či implicitně dehnície týchto termínov
a svoje vlastné stratégie ich používania, aby na
vybranom příklade ukázali svoj vlastný pohl'ad na
prácu s týmito pojmami. Prvá časť čísla představuje
výsledné texty.

In the last years, the journal Nry has published
— side by side with traditional collections of articles
devoted to various topics - several thematically fo-
cused numbers. As the editor of this number, I háve
sought articles, focused on problems of iconography
and iconology. This project started from no special
définition of these concepts and no ideological bias.
Instead of dehning a theoretical framework, I háve
asked well known authors, who háve their own ex-
plicit or implicit définitions of the terms and their
own stratégy of using them for various research
purposes, to piek up an example of how the concepts
might work from their point of view. The resulting
texts are presented in the hrst part of this number.
