Our Return to ENGLAND. 427
lars we Tailed till we came on the Sussix Coast, when longing to Chap. I.
be on Shore, we hailed a Fissier-Boat on Board, who put me on
Shore at Folkfione in Kentt Five Miles South of Dover, on the
Twentieth of August, 1681.
From whence-lending you this, give me leave to come leisurely
to London, that in that time I may feel my Legs, and try how
agreeable the natural Sweets of England by degrees may be to one
who in this long Absencc has so little felt the Hardships of Travelj
especially coming home ; which though a tedious Voyage of Seveni
Month;;, we passed away merrily with good Wine, and no bad
Musick ; but the Life of all, good Company and an honest Com-
mander ; who sed us with freih Provisions of Turkies, Geese,
Duclcs, Hens, sucking Pigs, Sheep, Goats, &c. And to Crown all,
the Day we made England) kill'd us a fatted Calf j so that you
may spare that Welcome when you receive,

J.K
Soli DEO Gloria. Amen.
