An excessively rare tract giving the names of 39 bishops of O 1 m ii t z in Moravia beginning
with St. C y r i 11 u s and ends with bishop Stanislaus (ab. 1511).
This book is very interesting also from historical point of view giving facts etc. relating io
the history of Bohemia, Hungary and Poland. The letter of the author to bishop Stanislaus is dated
Buda, VII. Nonas Decembri.
Fine copy, slightly stained.

This pamphlet contains on leaf 3 vo. an interesting chapter relating to London (“Dal nughet
carcere di Londra”).

probably by Jorg Breu the elder. Red morocco, gilt back, triple fillet,
inside dent. (XVIIIth cent. Slightly rubbed). 50.—

Exceptionally fine and large copy in very fresh state. The very
curious cut with much woodcut lettering represents the devil unchained smiting the towers of
a church with club and sabre, above the Almighty. It is probably the work of Jorg Breu the
elder (see Dodgson II, p. 428, 3, note).
The Onus ecclesiae is of great importance to general and ecclesiastical history, but it contains
also chapters on the Tures, astrology and a s t r o no m y, and on occult sciences:
De Regnis et Monachiis huius saeculi. De Turcis et de Plaga gladii. De licita astronomia. De illicita
astronomia.
