Als Auszeichnungstype für die fersten Worte jeden Psalms die Mkleinere Psaltertype", als Texttype
die Type der Bibel v. 1462, die Will. Morris als die schönste gotische Schrift rühmte. Für d. Druck
dieses Buches schuf Schöffer als Auszeichungstype für die Versanfänge große Versalien, die jedoch
erst von d. dritten Lage ab durchgehend verwendet werden. In den beiden vorderen Lagen fehlen sie
teilweise und sind in unserem Expl. handschriftlich vom Rubricator eingemalt.
Auf 1. u. 3. Bll. größere Initiale in blau und Tot, die übrig. Initialen am Anfang jed. Psalms rot.
Durchgehend sauber rubriziert.
Sehr schönes, frisches, ausnehmend breitrandig. Expl. (21,5 : 31 cm) in alt. Einbd. Auf Titeibl. 2 Stempel,
teilw. im innern Rand unbedeutend fleckig.
A magnificent achievement of Schöffer's famous press. The smaller church type is used for the first
words of each psalm, and the 1462 Bible type for the text with heavy Versal letters for the first
words of each verse. The colophon is printed in red. — Ruhricated, capitals supplied in Ted.
Fine and large copy of this famous ,,E ditio Princeps Moguntina" in a contemp. binding
