An exposition of the statute enacted by the fourth Lateran Council in 1216, introdu-
cing the duty of confession. The author was Rector of the University of Vienna and
“iuris utriusque professor”. The book is finely printed in 4 different types. — A
strip of the blank margin of the title-leaf supplied, a few insign, stains, one wormhole
in lower blank margin of part of the book, otherwise a fine, nicely imbricated copy
of this rare impression.

rarity. The scarcest of all A 1 du s-e d i t i o n s. It cont. a very im-
portant commentary of the first book of Martial and a remarkable preface
(reprinted by Renouard). With 2 prefaces by L. Odaxius and Pyrrhus Perrotus, the
nephew of the author, and a short biography of Martial.
Nic. Perrotus was a prelate of the 15th cent, belonging to a famous family ; he
reformed the grammar for his pupils ; much esteemed by several popes he became
governor of Perugia and later of Umbria and archbishop of Siponto in 1458. He
died in 1480. His best book was this commentary with the title “Cornucopia”.
Some initials at the end are painted red and blue. First If. repaired with a little
lose of text. In the beginning and at the end a little stained and traces of use.
