letter) teftified their regret at parting with
an author, from whom they are pleafed to
fay, they have received benefit united with
entertainment, and with whom they
are unwilling to drop their acquaintance.
Thefe gentlemen, therefore, and others
who have thought well of thofe hints
on certain articles of natural knowledge,
introduced in the Lectures, will be pleaf-
ed to be informed, that the author is
preparing for the Public a Series of
Discourses, illuftrative of Nature in
her various Syftems : to add, that the
moral mftruction arHing from them is
not omitted, will give them additional va-
lue to our numerous readers, whofe en-
couragement, we flatter ourfelves, will not
be unworthily befbwed on fuch awork.

The work is in fuch forwardnefs, that
fome of the Plates are already engraved;
but no determinate time can yet be fixed
for its appearance.
