shows this collective request of the Apostles, stressing — as Jacobus of Vitry did — the role of
Mary Magdalen (she points to the weeping Yirgin (fig. 9)).
The Cracow manuscript contains also a very original representation that belongs to the chapter
„The thanksgivings of the Virgin and Christ" (fig. 10). The respective text explains: The Virgin
Mary humbly fell upon Her knees, clasped Her hands and said: O you, Son of God, if you wish
to die, let me at least to thank you for you would like to come into this world to redeem the
mankind. Thank you for you choose me to be mother of your divinity". And then Our Lord fell
upon His knees in front of His Mother, revealing all His humility, clasped His hands and said:
„Thank you, my most beloved Mother, for your seryice, care and all your breeding". When get
