from the collections of the National Museums in Warsaw and Wroclaw, the
Regional Museums in Legnica and Jelenia Gòra, the City Museum in Zabrze,
as well as from private Polish collections. Anna Kozak of the National Museum
in Warsaw and Piotr Lukasiewicz from the National Museum in Wroclaw
conceived the exhibition and authored its catalogue.

Tiepolo and Tiepoleschi in Polish Collections. Drawings, Prints, and Paintings.
Sept. 19-Nov. 30, 1997

An exhibition organized to celebrate the 300rh birthday of Giambattista
Tiepolo (1696-1770). It was the first exhibition in Polish history to present
all the works created by Giambattista Tiepolo and his two sons Giandomenico
(1724-1804) and Lorenzo (1736-1776) that exist in Polish public collections:
the National Museums in Szczecin, Gdansk, and Poznan, the Czartoryski
Museum in Cracow, the Ossolineum in Wroclaw, and the Print Room of the
Warsaw University Library. Sixty drawings by Giambattista and Giandomenico
were exhibited, along with two paintings by each of the artists, their graphic
works, newly discovered drawings by Giovanni Battista Crosato, drawn copies
of paintings and frescoes. The exhibition was conceived by Justyna Guze, who
also edited the catalogue, which contained notes by the curators of the
