leries there has been an exhibition of
flower and still-life paintings by Mr.
Davis Richter, vigorous and effective
canvases designed with a right sense of
decorative arrangement and very capably
executed; and with them was shown a
representative collection of the works of
Odilon Redon, a French artist who made
a considerable reputation during his life
by the originality and technical power of
his exceedingly personal achievement. 0
Mr. P. H. Jowett's water-colours, at
the St. George's Gallery, deserve to be
noted for their seriousness of intention
and their wholesome regard for sound
