The Sleeping Lamb, by Frank Bullows,
makes an instant appeal by the intense
vitality in repose which pervades it, as well
as by the skilful simplification of the

The panel of a cockerel in bas-relief
by Kenneth Murray is an arresting design,
also full of life, and is remarkable for the
simple yet adequate expression of the
plumage, while the relief of the Flight into
Egypt is an original and striking treatment
of an old theme. M. B. B.
