Interior Arrangement and Decoration

An example, again, or
high white panelling is
the Georgian dining-room
(p. 19) by Messrs. Bartholo-
mew & Fletcher. The large
rectagonal wall-panels are
enriched with mouldings
all round the edge; and
a dentill ed moulding, the
top of which is wide enough
to form a shelf, divides the
panelling from the frieze.
The cornice has bold,
projecting modillions, and
is painted and flatted in
white, like the rest of the
wall surface. The door
and the movable furni-
ture are of West India
mahogany, to which the
green of the carpet pro-
morning room designed by f. j. mason vides a pleasantly contrasted

The clean and fresh

chimney-piece and the stained-glass windows in the appearance of white paint makes it especially
dining-room are the work of the Bromsgrove Guild. suitable for bedrooms. Thus Messrs. Heal & Son's
