room. The wall-space is
divided into three nearly
equal horizontal divisions,
viz., a deep frieze with
stencilled powderings by
Mr. Morton; a papered
filling; and a dado, like
the mantelpiece, door and
woodwork, painted white.
Among Messrs. Liberty's
decorations are included
two fitted bedrooms. One
(p. 42 ) is in white
painted wood with a frieze
bedroom designed and executed by liberty & Co., ltd. stencilled on Japanese grass-

cloth; while the other is an
oak-fitted bedroom (p. 44)

But, as has been said already, fitments are, so devised that the several sections, abutting against
perhaps, better adapted for bedrooms, as is testified each other without a cornice moulding, could be
by several interesting examples here shown, viz., removed with ease and set up, if desired, otherwhere
in the bedroom fitted in fumed oak (p. 41) by than in their original position. This is a very useful
Messrs. Goodyer; in another by Messrs. Waring feature; since a system of fitments, as it is
& Gillow (p. 38), carried out in sycamore with presented in the majority of cases, howsoever
feeling and style altogether modern. Another desirable on the score of economising space, is
instance of fitments is Messrs. John Orr & Sons' apt to militate irreconcilably against our present-
