Ard from Paarskyld, Pernio parish, Finland, found
during ditch digging 1930. It is the ard-head and
part of the handle which was found. A sample was
bored out from the ard for C-14 dating. There was
not enough material to take a cellulose-extract.
The ard had not been conserved before the sample
was taken. It is now in the archaeological depart-
ment of the National Museum of Finland, mus. no.
13404 (old no. 7292). Submitted by Torsten Edgren.

Haken aus Paarskyla, Gemeinde Pernio, Finnland,
gefunden 1930 bei Deichgrabearbeiten. Gefunden
wurde der Hakenkopf und ein Teil des Hand-
griffs. Aus dem Haken wurde eine Probe zwecks
Radiokarbondatierung herausgebohrt. Fur eine Ex-
traktion von Zellulose reichte das Material nicht
aus. Der Haken wurde vor der Entnahme der Pro-
be nicht konserviert. Er befindet sich jetzt in der
archaologischen Abteilung des finnischen National-
museums, Mus. Nr. 13404 (alte Nr. 7292). Vorge-
