(p. 54, 08, 09), executed in coloured chalks his own portrait,
which is one of the marvels of the Basle muséum, and the fac-
similé of which we give hère with ail the perfection our new
typographie processes admit of.
The intelligent administrators of that muséum are popula-
rizing, by Mr. Ch. de Bouell's photographie processcs, the séries
of original works of the old German masters dravvn from Amer-
bach's Collection. We call on this remarkable publication, so
