the history of discovery of the Portuguese in India. Two chapters deal with AMERICA.

There are two Paris editions of the same year of Grynaeus, but this is the rarest
of all. The beautiful map of great walue for the early cartography is the meri-
torious work of Oronce Fine. It is often wanting and scarce.
Our copy with an old bookplate »Ad Bibi. H. zur Mühlen«, is a fine one and the
map is in a state of good preservation.

FINE EDITION of this collection of travels generally known under the name of
Grynaens, who was only the editor and wrote the preface. Being one of the first
collection of travels it is of importance for the history of geography.
