his general thesis. Prof. Nilsson, after givino- a
very complete view of the finds illustrating

this subject in Crete and Mainland Greece at
that time available, rightly insisted on the
preponderance of these on the Mainland side.
But this, surely, was due to greater opportunity
rather than to 'difference of taste'.
