George Adams was a "mathematical, philosophical and optical instrument-maker"
and the last 21 pp. of this book consist of a catalogue of 335 instruments which he had for
sale. — The plates show all manner of objects, botanical, entomological and zoological. There
are some interesting chapters on animalcula in liquids, on the teeth etc. Fine and com-
plete copy.

natural-philosophical writings of Albert of Bollstadt, the great dominican.
Albertus Magnus (Albert von Bollstadt) was the most eminent naturalist of the
13 th cent. This rare edition contains 18 treatises among which the following important ones
may be mentioned: De sensu et sensato,- de memoria; de spiritu et respiratione; de nutri-
mento et nutribili; de unitate intellectus contra Averroem de intellectu et intelligibili; de pas-
sionibus aeris,- de vegetabilibus et plantis,- speculum astronomicum etc. Fine copy,- si.
waterstained on upper margin.
