"Explicit libri Alberti magni anno dni 1472 finitus est”), 72 11. of text, 1 1.
with alchem. drawings, furthermore 26 11. with recipes made by later hands.
In a well readable handwriting in red and black with drawings in the
margin. Wooden boards, book and a third of the covers covered with blind-
stamped vellum (part of the front-cover missing). 240.—
A comprehensive Manuscript with various recipes and technical prescriptions for prac-
tical purposes.
LI. 1—3 b: The 12 signs of the zodiac (not entirely executed), furthermore sun and
moon and the 5 J’Spiritusn (the same) accompanied by German verses. LI. 4—41 a: Pre-
scriptions for the manufacture of vermilion, lazulite, ceruse, salts, oils, etc. for the sublimiza-
tion of metals, etc. Bl. 41a—43 a: Index. — Then follow other prescriptions as (1. 49a:) the
construction of a still; (1. 57 a:) acqua regia; (1. “57 b-7) cloth printing and dyeing; 69 a:)

Important Manuscript written in 1433 containing the 2 nd book of the main-work of Duns Scotus,
which appeared in print not earlier than in 1517. There are lectures held at the University of Paris.
Johannes Duns Scotus, the famous Scholastic philosopher, *Maxton, Scotland, f Cologne 1308.

Otto der Hinderholczer schenkt sein Lehen „ain guet gelegen an dem Behemperg,
daz da haizzet an dem Chindlichen", welches er von den Herren von Volchensdorf erhalten hatte,
dem Gotteshaus (Benediktinerstift) hincz Glevni (Gleink).
Die beiden Siegel tragen die Namen Otto Hinderholczer und den seines Bruders Dietrich.
