The Xawery Dunikowski Museum in the Królikarnia Palace
With its new permanent exhibition of works by Xawery Dunikowski (see
Bulletin, XXXVI, 1995, no. 3-4, p. 79), the Museum in the Królikarnia Palace
devotes its space on the second floor for exhibitions of modern art; in 1996-97
they included the following:
Miroslaw Filonik, Works from 1985-1995 connected with the Daylight System
Exhibition. March 14 - 29, 1996
An exhibition of the works by a graduate of the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts
(born 1958), a member of the Swiadomosc Neu Bieremiennost group, together
with Miroslaw Balka; the artist makes installations and experiments with
fluorescent light.

An exhibition presenting the paintings of a representative of one of the
strongest trends of the 1980s, the Neue Wilde, a member of the artistic group
“Grappa”. Maryla Sitkowska prepared the exhibition and its catalogue.
Exhibition of Works by Jurors of the 15th Poster Biennale.
An exhibition accompanying the 15th poster Biennale at the Poster Museum
in Wilanów featured works by Per Arnoldi, Michel Bouvet, Holger Matthies,
Waldemar Swierzy, and Nikolaus Troxler.
The Gallery ofFriends of “Akademia Ruchu”, 1992-1996. Sept. 13-Dec. 15,1996
This exhibition presented works by 25 contemporary Polish artist of the
middle generation living at home and abroad, involved with the “Akademia
Ruchu” circle, which in the years 1992-1996 exhibited its work in its
headquarters at the Tçcza movie theater in Warsaw. The group included
Tomasz Sikorski, Krzysztof M. Bednarski, Stanislaw and Piotr Mlodozeniec.
The founder of the Gallery of the Friends of “Akademia Ruchu”, Wojciech
Krukowski, conceived the exhibition; its catalogue was written by Krzysztof
Zwirblis, the director of the A. R. Gallery.
Axes in Space. Jan. 18 - Feb. 27, 1997
An exhibition of contemporary works by artists from Poland, Germany, and
Slovakia (Pawel Zarçba, Roland Borchards, Eberhard Foest, Jens Hanke, Olaf
Maartens, and Ondrej Valdo), prepared by Piotr Szubert, presenting paintings,
sculpture, graphic art and video works.
We’re hiving Among You. Oct. 24 - 23 Nov., 1997
A competition exhibition by disabled artists, organized with the cooperation
of the Foundation for Public Health, presenting paintings, drawings, graphic
work, sculpture, and ceramics by almost 200 artists. Piotr Szubert and Joanna
Torchala prepared the exhibition, with the catalogue published by the
Foundation for Public Health.
