trimed with gold and silver, his beaver white, with
white feathers, his (hoe’s golden, his Caducers or rod
of (il ver.
Apollo or Sol (which is all one ) the Physicall god^
paint with long curl’d yellow haire, crown’d with a
lawrell, his roab purple, his bow (ilver, his harp gold,
his throne emralds, that is
Neptune^ the regent of the Sea, we usuaily find di-
liniated with long hoary haire, a blew or Sea-green
mantle; trimed with silver, riding in a blew Chariot
or upon a Dolphin, of a brown black colour, with a
silver Trident in his right hand.
Pluto, the profound god of riches , paint with
long black curl’d haire, in a robe ofcloathofgold.
Bacchus^ the patron of drunkards, they diseribe with
fliort curl’d haire of brown colour, and cloath him
with a Leopards skin spotted, or in a green mantle
crown’d with a wreath of Ivy, or Vine branches: his
complexion, tawny.
Hymen, the marriage god, with long yellow haire,
and in a purple or yellow Safforne coloured Man-
tle.
Vulcan, he deifpd black-smith, paint in a scarlet
robe.
Genas, in a purple mantle fring’d with gold.
Triton , Nestunes trumpeter paint with a blew
skin, and a purple mantle.
