£ir Thomas Blount was made Knight Banneret by
King Henry the eighth, in the year 1 ■> 13 in Francet
for his Service at the taking of Therouene and Tourney
from the French King. And soon after, viz. in the
year 1515. Sir William Blount Lord t^Momtioyy was
by the said King made Governor of Tourney, Mor-
taigne 5 Saint Am and, and other pfkces adjoyn-
' ping.
Charles Blount, Lord Mountiojy was buried in Alder-
wary Church in London^ about the year 154s. the East
window whereos was made or glazed at his Co st, as ap-
pear es by his Arms there, his Epitaph made by him-*
self in his life time, was this

and willingly have I sound
The fatall end that wrought
thither as Vuty bound j
Disibarg'd l ant os that I ought
