Another sair red upon Glass,
Take a quantity os Dragons blood, called in La-
tine Sanguis Vraconis, beat it into fine powder in a
Mortar, and put it in a linnen cloth, and put thereto
strong Aquavitas, and strain them together in a pot,
and. use them when you need.
Another excellent green upon Glass.
Take a quantity of Vertgreese, and grind it very
well with Turpentine, when you have done, put it in-«
to a pot, and as often as you use it warm it on the sire.
To ma\e a sair (farnat ion upon a Glass.
Take an ounce of Tinne-glass, one quarter of Gum,
of J et three ounces,of red Oker five ounces,and grind
them together.
Another Blacky
Take a quantity of Iron scales, and so many Cop-
per scales, and weigh them one againsi: another, and
half as much Jet, and mix them well together.
Before you occupy your scales, let them be damped
small, and put them into a clean fire Ih >vell, and set
them upon the fire till they be red hot, and they will
be the better.
Another Carnation,.
Take a quantity of Jet, and hals as much Silver,
seum or glass tinne, and half as much of Iron scales, a
quarter as much of gum, and so much red chalk as all
these do weigh, and grind it.
