OF TAN AIS WITH ELECTRO-RESISTIYITY METHOD
1. Introductory remarks
The goal of the resistivity survey carried out in the Southern part of the site of
Tanais (Fig. 1) was to provide data in order to plan large scalę excavations of joint
expeditions of the Institute of Archaeology of Russian Academy of Sciences,
Moscow and the Deutches Archaologisches Tnstitut, Berlin. The field works were
