Bernardino Albizzesdii, O. F. M., Theologian and renowned
Preadier, Bishop of Siena, born at Massacarrara in 1380, died
at Aquila in 1444.

and with initials supplied in red. Original binding of wooden boards

First edition of this work not only of interest for theology but also for the
history of customs and of costume. Leaf 50—56 contains two sermons about
conjugal chastity and decency, on leaf 146—50 the author deals with the
game at diee and on leaf 156—59 we find a sermon against the femal dressi-
nes. He calles they “woman soiling himselves” making special attack es upon their
false hair and the fur-trimming of their clothes.
Large copy in its original binding, somewhat wormed. On the title old MS.-
notes and a stamp. A rent repaired in olden time.
