82 Jacquin, J. F. v. Beytrage zur Geschichte der Vogel. Wien, bey Ch. F. Wapp-
ler, 1784. 4to. With 19 engr. plates finely coloured by hand. Old
marbled calf, gilt back, gilt dent, on covers, fleuron in the corners, g. e. 200.—
The author, son of the celebrated Nic. J. Jacquin, used the annotations which his fa-
ther made on his travels, especially those in America, and published this highly interesting
history of exotic birds, mostly American ones. The plates are finely engraved and care-
fully coloured by hand from nature.
Very rare. Limited edition. Large paper copy in an excellent state of preservation.

A beautiful Herbarium of high interest. The plates are printed from the plants itself
— so called ,,N a t ur s elb s t d ruck“ — and most carefully coloured by hand, so that the
appearance of real plants is obtained. Each plate has a short inscription in Latin below.
Fine copy on ,Hollande' coming from a Danish library.

A beautiful ornithological work, of high rarity, being a continuation of
the African Ornithology by the same author.
Exceptionally fine copy with beautiful colour-plates, quite
complete; all that has been published. In a fine red morocco binding.
