270. Crouching Lion. Greenish glaze. 5-6 cms. long. Found under coping of
Eastern Terrace of Temple of Aphrodite.

Context: again uncertain owing to the presence of very old
houses of the Middle Helladic Period into which the founda-
tions have cut.
XXVIth DYNASTY
The following are in the Athens National Museum, in the same tray as above. They
are all illustrated in the final plate of Waldstein's Argive Heraeum, but unfortunately
there is no indication as to which temple they came from.

Much decayed. Glaze gone. Illegible.
Two uraei back to back.
Green glaze. Ra seated with hawk's head and disk. Plume
of Maat in front.
Uraeus and two feathers. Glaze gone.
Goddess with spread wings, uraeus and disk.
Illegible. Glaze gone.
