connected with Gdańsk; such as two coats of arms, the historical panorama madę of
tiles, the tiled stove showing the military history of the city over the ages and the the-
atre of ship models appearing on the tower. They were accomplished by specially madę
“modest German” items - furniture and textiles.
The building was finished in 1940. During World War II unlike most of Gdańsk,
the hostel building was not destroyed and has remained in its original form till today.
