Fol. Rom. and Greek letter, 39 lines, 126 unn. leaves, without sign.,
the first and last, being blank, missing. Old wooden boards, the back and
a part of the boards covered with finely blindstamped pigskin {Contempo-
rary monastic binding, somewhat wormed.) Frs. 4000.—

The very rare first edition of this important philological work on the
difficult passages in Juvenal.
With full colophon, from the extremely scarce press of Sadisel & Golsdi
at Rome. “Only eight books in all are registered as the work of Sach-
sel & Golsch, three of them signed and dated . . . Large text type, of irre-
gular appearance, especially when capitals are massed . . . The lower case is for the
most part Sweynheym and Panartz’s type.” (Brit. Mus. Cat.)
Quite clean copy with wide margins, there is only a small wormhole in the
margins of the first few leaves and some few old ms. notes.
Bound up with: Homer us. Odyssea, latine a Car. Tortellios, ed. Geor-
gius Maxillus alias Ubelin. Strafiburg, Schott, 1510. Fol.
Extraordinarily rare, no copy having been bn market since more than ten
years except a British Museum duplicate.
Only two copies in U. S. A. (acc. to Census).

partly with catdi-words. The title printed entirely in red. With
the nice woodcut device of Joh. de Legnano, printed in red
on the title and repeated in black at the end. Vellum. Frs. 900.—
