THEOLOGY

On f. 1 b an old MS. note: Fr. Ioan. Praep. Pernecen. me emit Vienna Anno 1593.
The Praemonstratensian monastery of Pernegg (in Lower Austria) was only
founded in 1586, this does not afford a clue to explain the arms and initials dated 1474,
which perhaps belong to a prelate of a monastery secularised during the Reformation.
The first 11. damaged on lower margin by a sabre-cut not affecting the text,
otherwise a very fine and large copy.
— See also sections Bindings and Rare Presses.
