X. MOKHLOS
A tiny island two hundred yards from the coast below the village of Sphaka and
about two miles south-east of Pseira. Here Seager discovered a small settlement and
a number of Early Minoan tombs which produced a sensational hoard of jewellery
and stone vases. These vases show many affinities with examples of the Old Kingdom
in Egypt, but in no case can it be said that there is an actual import.
