best is by Hedgerow, but it is imper-
fect in detail. If the prize be awarded
it should be for this.

" Madder Broivn we place next, but
the design is very ' liney ' in construc-
tion and weak in drawing.

" Sanzio comes third, but the design
is not at all suited for weaving pur-
poses. The artist had evidently been
studying majolica work, hence it is
