lovingiy dwelt upon, and
he has repeated the tints
with fineness and deii-
cacy. Frantisek Kupka,
who is now iiving in
Paris, has sent some ad-
mirabie etchings and
coioured drawings.
Franz Simon's (Prague) A? ?fc7* Z<7gK shows great
promise; Jan Honza (Bestovice) gives us some
iine cioud effects, whiie Rudolf Bern has some
good portraits done in pencii and chaiks.

in his favourite attitude, hand in beard, and is a
masterpiece of Svabinsky's art.
Jan Preissier, Prague, is not what one couid
strictiy cali " nationai" in his work, though his
Z?<?y and the Acwi' V7'/77<rgM show us that
he is fuii of the poetic piiantasy of his native
country. Victor Stretti's etchings show great
promise and much talent, and Z. Braunerova ex-
hibits a irne Z???' (W ZVnjMg. Antonin Siavicek
and Antonin Hudecek, both of Prague, have
sent many exampies of their art, ioveiy bits of
coiour. Siavicek favours bright tones, poppies,
sunfiowers, cornfiowers, etc., whiie Hudecek chooses
