Russian artists in Goetheanum (Margarita Sabashnikova)
The Creative activity of Margarita Sabashnikova romains under the strong influence of the spirituals phi-
losophy of Rudolf Steiner.
The most antroposophical paintings among the works of the artist, seem to be Crucifixion, The Last
Supper, and the portraits of archangels - Michael, Gabriel, Raphael and Uriel.
These paintings, which were created in the 30., overcome the dominating trends in the contemporary
art and let the recipient have an insight into the spiritual worki. The analyzed works fulfill a generał mis-
sion of anthroposophical art by the attempt of showing the way to Jesus Christ. The recipient experiences
the union with form and colours, permeates the external appearance and reaches something that exist
beyond the reality.
