Hanna Benesz - długoletni kustosz zbiorów malarstwa niderlandzkiego i flamandzkiego
w Zbiorach Dawnej Sztuki Europejskiej Muzeum Narodowego w Warszawie, które opra-
cowywała w licznych katalogach wystaw w Polsce i za granicą, m.in. Złoty Wiek malarstwa
flamandzkiego: Rubens, van Dyck, Jordaens... 1608-1678 (2007). Uczestniczyła w programie
partnerstwa konserwatorskiego z J. Paul Getty Museum w Los Angeles i od 2012 koordyno-
wała polską wersję specjalnego pokazu Dramat i nabożność. Warszawski tryptyk Ecce Homo
Maertena van Heemskercka, który koronował współpracę pomiędzy Muzeum Narodowym
w Warszawie i J. Paul Getty Museum w L.A. (2013). Wraz z Marią Kluk opracowała i do czasu
publikacji aktualizuje Complete Summary Catalogue. Early Netherlandish, Dutch, Flemish and
Belgian Paintings 1493-1983. The National Museum in Warsaw (redakcja ok. 45 o haseł spośród
900, tablice konkordancji i indeksy). Popularyzuje malarstwo dawnych mistrzów europejskich
w miesięczniku „Art & Business”, zamieszczając artykuły w cyklu „Nieznane arcydzieło”. Jest
wieloletnim członkiem CODART-u.
I Hanna Benesz - a senior specialist responsible for Netherlandish and Flemish art in the
Department of Medieval and Early Modern European Art of the National Museum in Warsaw.
She has written about this collection in numerous catalogues of exhibitions in Poland and
abroad, including Złoty Wiek malarstwa flamandzkie go: Rubens, van Dyck, Jordaens. 1608-1678
[The Golden Age of Flemish art: Rubens, Van Dyck, Jordaens. 1608-78] (2007). She par-
ticipated in our museum’s conservation partnership with The J. Paul Getty Museum in Los
Angeles, and since 2012 has coordinated the Polish version of the special display Drama and
Devotion. Warsaw Triptych Ecce Homo by Maerten van Heemskerck, which crowned this part-
nership (2013). She is co-editor, with Maria Kluk, of the Complete Summaiy Catalogue. Early
Netherlandish, Dutch, Flemish and Belgian Paintings 1493-1983. The National Museum in Warsaw
(editing about 450 of its 900 entries, concordance tables and indexes, which she continues
to update until the date of publication). She popularizes European Old Masters’ paintings in
the series “An Unknown Masterpiece” in the monthly magazine Art & Business. She is a long-
standing member of CODART.
Prof, dr hab. Jan Białostocki (1921-1988) - uznawany jest za najwybitniejszego polskiego
historyka sztuki, który zarazem należał do światowej elity uczonych humanistów XX wieku. Był
profesorem Uniwersytetu Warszawskiego i kuratorem Muzeum Narodowego w Warszawie;
wykładał m.in. w Yale University, New York University, Pennsylvania State University, Collège
de France; był członkiem prestiżowego Institute for Advanced Study uniwersytetu w Princeton.
Napisał ponad 500 poważnych prac naukowych, w tym wiele książek o sztuce od późnego
średniowiecza po XIX wiek: Les Primitifs flamands. Les Musées de Pologne (1966), Spätmittelalter
und beginnende Neuzeit (1972), The Art of the Renaissance in Eastern Europe: Hungary, Bohemia,
Poland (1976), Dürer and his Critics, 1300-1971 (1986), Il quattrocento nell’Europa Settentrionale
(1989, wyd. fr.: LArt du XVe siècle des Parler à Dürer, 1993; po polsku: Sztuka XV wieku od Parlerów
do Dürera, 2010). Zajmował się także teorią sztuki, historią teorii artystycznych, dziejami
