"COAL TEAM HOMEWARD BOUND" (DRY POINT) BY FERDINAND GOLD
Dr. Julius Leisching, Director of the Museum of
Art and Industry at Briinn, Moravia, who, by
arranging a series of exhibitions of modern toys in
the various chief cities of the monarchy, has suc-
ceeded in enlisting the sympathies of designers and
the public generally. Another factor is the move-

ment designated by the phrase " Kunst im Leben
des Kindes," a movement which seeks to promote
the application of art to matters affecting the lives
of children. As far back as 1902 the Hagenbund
here in Vienna devoted their autumn exhibition
entirely to this subject.
Among those whose sympathies and talents have
in this way been enlisted on behalf of children is
