and again in the carved stone owl by
H. J. Dow, in its way a brilliant
piece of work. The poster designs are
promising, and there are a number of
delightful woodcuts and etchings, too
mature in technique, however, to be
accepted as students' work. Some good
figure modelling and various pleasant
contributions of a more or less miscel-
laneous character help to make the exhibi-
