COPENHAGEN.—We give herewith an
example of the sculpture of Professor
Utzon Frank, whose work attracted con-
siderable attention at the recent show at
the Leicester Galleries. Professor Frank
has obviously gone to the past for his inspi-
ration, and some of his statues (especially
the female figures) are even archaic in
feeling. But he is an accomplished crafts-
man, whose work commands great respect.

CHRISTIANIA.—M. Arent Christen-
sen is one amongst many of his
fellows who has come under the spell of
the glories of Provence, but few, perhaps,
have paid a more sincere homage, a more
delightful tribute to its romantic beauty
than this artist from distant Norway. The
print we illustrate seems imbued with the
lyric, poetic mood of this old enchanting
country which has inspired the artist to an
effort of singular pictorial merit, and both
the sombre foreground and the light on
