has substantially questioned the theory promoted by
scholars on the proto-Rococo and pioneering quality
ofhis art.
It seems that the changes in the interpretation of
Lischka's life and artistic output are an excellent
example of the dynamic modification of the pre-
sentation of the artist's figure. Taking a closer look at
these changes in the context of ideas, ideologies, and
political systems of the past centuries, allows a more
thorough understanding of the process of narration
structuring in art history.
