surely be considered futile to sing the
praises of the magnificent tree flanking
this altogether alluring scene.

In some of his work M. Christensen
manifests a marked gift for composition
and, unlike most artists of this age of grace,
he is not afraid of venturing upon an
occasional Ritt in's alte romantische Land—

STAINED GLASS WINDOW FOR CHRISTIANIA MUSEUM
OF INDUSTRIAL ART. BY EMANUEL VIGELAND

Among Norwegian artists, Emanuel
Vigeland is worthy of note. He has de-
signed windows for Trondhjem Cathedral,
and the Crematorium is decorated with
his fresco paintings. We reproduce a
stained glasswindow designed and executed
by him for the Christiania Museum of
Industrial Art. In it may be seen his strong
decorative feeling and a certain following
of traditional methods, marked, never-
theless, by real individuality. a a
