Since the arrangement of Lubomirski's drawings collection indicates that he was aware
of the general trends in the contemporaneous development of art consideration and artistic
schools, it may be assumed that he wanted to emphasise the characteristics of the contents
of the Flemish school. Indeed, according to Dezallier d'Argenville, the purpose of collecting
drawings was to get to know more about the excellent works of all the masters of all
countries, and through comparison from an image about what this specialist referred to a
