by Maarten de Vos (1532-1603). In other cases, there are mostly one or two drawings
mentioned for each individual master.
A review of the type of drawings in the Flemish school reveals that sketches, studies
and detailed drawings are well represented in contrast to original designs and academic
drawings which are completely absent. Among the sketches in the Flemish school, draw-
ings that should be mentioned are those depicting religious scenes, including HoTy TmmzTy

mainly in rough lines and without details. The sketch in pen and brown ink is, according to
7A77, p. XVII.
