admitted that her artists

An exhibition is to be
held in November next at
Bendigo, Australia, to com-
memorate the discovery of
gold there in the early
fifties. In connection with
the exhibition there is to
be a gallery of applied art
in which will be shown
furniture, wood - carving,
jewellery, pottery, leather-
work, book-binding, textiles,
embroidery, &c. The sum
°f p^S9° wiH be devoted to
the purchase for the Ben-
digo Art Gallery of an oil
painting to be chosen from
the works exhibited in the
cabinet by josef hoffmann Fine Art section.
