Among the drawings which have been sub-
mitted in this competition are many which,
while showing marked ability of draughts-
manship, are faulty in methods of working.
For example, some are so finely drawn as to
lose all sense of line work. Others are drawn
in ink which is not uniformly black. Both
faults render them equally unsuitable for
reproduction by process.
The First Prize {One guinea) is awarded
to Credo (Marion E. Broadhead, 25 High
Street, Macclesfield).
The Second Prize (Half-a-guinea) to
Beach (Geo. Collier, 89 Hassop Street,
Beswick, Manchester).
Honourable Mention is given to the fol-
