delightfully deceptive piece
of scenic arrangement has
not been seen in London
before. It is altogether
charming as a reproduction
of the famous city, and
it has been planned with
so much ingenuity, and
carried out with so much
skill, that it ranks as a
masterly achievement in
the art of the scene-painter.
The illusion is well-nigh
perfect, and the beauty
of the colour and tone
effects obtained is altogether
fascinating.
