Eine Firma typisiert ihre Verkaufsstellen. Jede Ver-
kaufsstelle enthält im Innern Ladentisch, Tisch und Sitz-
gelegenheiten, zwei Kugelleuchten und die sogenannte
Kanone, die von hinten aufgefüllt wird, so daß vorne
vom Verkäufer die Schokoladenwaren der Reihe nach
entnommen werden können. Die Gestaltung der Läden
mußte möglichst billig erfolgen. Die Straßenfront wurde
deshalb mit gelbgestrichenem Wellblech verkleidet,
auf dem die Firmenschrift angebracht wurde; so wurde
jede Maurerarbeit vermieden, Rahmen und Blech
wurden in der Fabrik fertiggestellt und vor der Fassade
angebracht. Entwurf: Otto Rittweger. Eingerichtet von

de ses magasins de vente. Chaque magasin recoit un comptoir,
une table et des chaises, deux plafonniers diffiseurs en forme
de boule et le casier distributeur, le «canon», alimente de
l'arriere; du devant, la vendeuse y prendra une ä une les
marchandises, chocolats et confiseries. L'amenagement des
magasins devait se faire avec le minimum de frais realisable.
Une partie de la devanture fut donc masquee par un large
panneau en tole ondulee peint en jaune et qui porte l'enseigne
de la maison. On sut eviter ainsi toute maconnerie. Le cadre
et le panneau en töle furent completement prepares ä l'usine
meme, puis montes sur la facade
A firm standardizing its branch-shops, all the various shops
being uniformly furnished with counter, table with seating
accommodation, two globe lamps and the so called "breach-
loader". The latter, a System of shelves, is a very effective
means of compulsorily regulating the flow of goods through the
respective shop: the newly arrived goods are filled into these
shelves from the rear, as the name "breachloader" implies,
so that the salesmen in front of the shelves have regularly the
earliest lots at hand. In a störe run on this System no perish-
able goods can grow stale. Circumstances demanded that this
standardization should be accomplished as economically as
possible. Dispensing with all masonry work, the street fronts
of the shops were faced with corrugated iron sheets painted
yellow, from which the firm's name Stands out
